Terms of Service

Effective 19 September 2026 · support@trymorsel.app

Morsel is a food diary: it helps you log what you eat, import recipes, and aim at nutrition targets. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

Not medical advice

Calorie and nutrient figures in Morsel are estimates, drawn from public food databases and from AI-assisted reading of recipe sources you provide. They are for information only and are not medical, dietary, or health advice. Consult a healthcare professional before making decisions about your health, and do not use Morsel to manage a medical condition.

Your account

You must be at least 13 to use Morsel. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; what happens under your account is your responsibility. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which permanently removes your data.

Your content

The recipes, photos, foods, and diary entries you add remain yours. You give us only the permission needed to store and show them back to you — that is all we do with them. Only upload content you have the right to use.

Acceptable use

Don't break, probe, or overload the service, attempt to access other people's data, or use Morsel for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

The service

Morsel is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, and to the fullest extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subscriptions

Morsel Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store. The plans, their prices and the length of any free trial are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency as set by the App Store. A free trial is offered once per Apple ID per subscription group; if you have already had one, the app will not offer it again and the store will not grant it. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.

A subscription renews automatically for the same period at the price shown unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple ID settings under Subscriptions; deleting your Morsel account does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms, not by us. If a price changes, Apple tells you first and asks you to agree before the new price applies. What Plus includes is described in the app and may grow over time; features that are free today stay free for a subscription already running.

Changes

We may update these terms; if a change matters, the effective date above changes with it and the app will say so. Continuing to use Morsel after a change means you accept it.

Apple's required terms

Apple requires every app sold through the App Store to carry the following terms, which apply in addition to everything above. “Morsel” below means the Morsel application as licensed to you.

  1. Acknowledgement. This agreement is between you and us alone, not Apple, and we alone are responsible for Morsel and its content. Apple is not.
  2. Scope of licence. The licence granted to you is non-transferable, and is to use Morsel on any Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that Morsel may also be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
  3. Maintenance and support. We alone are responsible for maintenance and support, as set out in these terms or required by law. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Morsel.
  4. Warranty. We alone are responsible for any product warranties, express or implied by law, to the extent they are not effectively disclaimed above. If Morsel fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation of any kind, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses arising from a failure to conform to a warranty are ours.
  5. Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to Morsel or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that Morsel fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar law.
  6. Intellectual property. If a third party claims that Morsel or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  7. Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  8. Who to contact. Morsel is operated by Ellis Dann, 11 Streete Court, Westgate-on-Sea, Kent CT8 8BT, United Kingdom. Any questions, complaints or claims about Morsel should be sent to support@trymorsel.app.
  9. Third party terms. You must comply with any applicable third party terms when using Morsel.
  10. Third party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of this agreement, and on your acceptance of it Apple has the right — and is deemed to have accepted the right — to enforce it against you as a third party beneficiary.
